More than 120 thousand people visited Grodno on the first day of the 12th Festival of National Cultures.
The main event of the first day was the solemn procession of beautiful representatives of different nationalities along the central streets of the city. A lot of people went with songs and dances in incredible national costumes of various colors. Representatives of various public associations carried a large flag of the festival of national cultures.
This year the citizens and guests of Grodno welcomed representatives of thirty-six nationalities and numerous international collectives. Among them were "newcomers" - Chinese, Chuvash, Cubans, as well as Latvians who joined the festival after a short break.
The audience heard folk songs, saw dances and theatrical mini-performances. In the columns there were not only adults, but also children. Children gladly waved back and clapped their hands. The festival has already become a tradition and it's nice to see that its mood is passed on to young generations. We hope that the children will continue this wonderful tradition.
The enchanting end of the first day of the 12th Republican Festival of National Cultures in Grodno was the night 3D mapping on the walls of the New Castle.
Delight and admiration. With such feelings, guests of the holiday were fascinated by the magic action that unfolded right on the walls of the New Castle. The improvised theatrical scenes opened and the audience froze ... Everything that happened next looked in complete silence. The pictures changed one another. Then "Welcome" in 35 languages, then bizarre national ornaments, then the views of the city above the Neman, then suddenly the stork soared into the sky. All this caused delight in both children and adults.
