In Ivye recently was a significant event. The children of the Tatar American emigrants met the local Tatars.
After decades and the oceans met people who were separated by fate, who knew nothing about each other. But they believed that they would find relatives. And they found them.
Many years ago, parents and grandparents were leaving for the unknown, hoping to return. For many years of separation, they have preserved and protected their memories of their little homeland. In their youth, emigrants could not find lost relatives for many reasons. The Internet helped.
Many searched for the line of their grandfathers and grandmothers in Belarus, but didn’t find relatives. They went to the Tatar diaspora in America, and there were found ancestors. They sent photos, wrote letters. So the bridge was adjusted for the meeting.
Happy reunion stories weren’t the only ones. And we suppose – it will have a continuation!
